INGREDIENTS & SAFETY
Your wipes contain HexyleneGlycol. Isn't glycolaggressive and toxic to the skin?
There is a major molecular difference between industrial glycols and what we use. Aggressive industrial glycols (like standard low-molecular-weight glycol ethers) act as penetration enhancers, breaking down skin lipids and driving toxins deeper into the bloodstream.
Hexylene Glycol belongs to an entirely different chemical class. It acts as a mild, surface-level wetting agent and surfactant co-solvent that breaks down heavy, oily fuel soot so it can be trapped by the wipe—without compromising or penetrating the deep epidermal layers of your skin. It lifts toxins off the skin rather than forcing them in.
Why is there Benzyl Alcoholin your ingredients? Won't that sting heat-opened skin?
Not at all. Benzyl Alcohol is a naturally occurring, aromatic organic alcohol that functions entirely differently from drying rubbing alcohols (such as Isopropyl Alcohol or Alcohol Denat).
We utilize it in a tight, ultra-low concentration exclusively as part of our globally compliant eco-preservative system. It guarantees that our bucket
solution remains entirely sterile and free from bacterial or fungal contamination—even when stored in hot fire apparatus compartments—without stinging, burning, or drying out your skin.
PERFORMANCE & FORMULA
How can a water-based wipe effectively dissolveheavy grease and fuel oil soot?
Oil-based wipes leave a heavy chemical film that traps toxins against your skin, while harsh chemical solvents cause dangerous pore penetration.
Rippers achieves superior grease breakdown through advanced amino-acid surfactants (Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate and Cocoyl Glutamates). These mild cleansers act like molecular magnets: one end binds aggressively to the oily hydrocarbon soot, and the other binds to the water base. This encapsulates and suspends the grease, allowing it to be wiped completely away without stripping or drying the dermis.
Do Rippers wipes leave a "tacky" or sticky residueon the skin?
No, and this is a key compliance driver for first responders. Competitor wipes rely on cheap surfactants, masking agents, and synthetic fragrances that leave a heavy, uncomfortable chemical residue.
Rippers are explicitly formulated with a 3.5x liquid-to-dry-weight saturation ratio utilizing pure, scent-free amino acids. It delivers immediate, maximum particulate cleaning power, but because it contains no fillers or artificial fragrances, the solution evaporates quickly, leaving your skin feeling clean, dry, and entirely residue-free.
VALUE & COST
Standard wipes have a lower price per wipe. Why should our department pay a premiumfor Rippers?
Evaluating procurement strictly on a "per wipe" base price creates a major financial blind spot. Smaller consumer or cosmetic-grade wipes saturate and shred immediately on heavy facial stubble and fireground soot, forcing personnel to pull 3 to 4 wipes per member for a single decon event.
With a massive 15.75" x 17.75" footprint (279.5 sq. in.) of 70 GSM embossed fabric, a single Ripper delivers nearly triple the surface area of competitors. It is a true "One-and-Done" system, bringing the individual incident cost per engine company down significantly and outperforming competitor field costs by up to 260%.
